Behaviour can be defined as:
An action by an individual that is observable by others. It’s estimated that in up to 80 % of work-related accidents, an employees behaviour in the form of acts or omissions – is a contributing factor. Such behaviour can pave the way for many pre-existing factors to come together in a negative event. There are many reasons why employees engage in ’at-risk’ behaviour at work.
Challenge “At Risk” behaviour.
Learn to accept a Challenge for your “At Risk” behaviour. Your attitude to the challenge has a big impact on those who observe this. A positive attitude leads to a Safer Workplace.
Why promote “Behavioural Safety” :
Behavioural Safety at work is a critical part of the management of Health and Safety. On their own, good systems DO NOT ensure successful health and safety management. An “Employees behaviour” turns systems and procedures into reality.
The level of success is determined by how projects: “Live" by their systems.
Reviewed to accommodate incidents, accidents, new equipment or procedures. Best practice is a systematic approach to manage Health & Safety.
REMEMBER: If it's not safe to work STOP.
Management will support you. At Emico, we Plan work that is SAFE, BUT we STOP work if it isn't.
