Emico are proud to confirm they have chosen “The Carer Support Team” and “Mind” to be their “Charities of Choice” for 2020. Both charities do amazing work across the UK and local community.
Emico has chosen to support Mind this year given the frightening statistics that male construction site workers are more likely to commit suicide than the average UK male.
Being an engineering company working within the construction industry, Emico feel it is part of their duty to promote good mental health and improve the knowledge and services around mental health. Mind are a charity who provide information on several mental health topics and promote better treatment for patients.
With 1 in 4 of us experiencing a mental health problem in any given year, it is likely that we all know someone who has been affected by mental health. Unfortunately, only around 25% of those people receive treatment for their mental health; therefore, Emico will support Mind’s goal to increase the knowledge, services and respect around mental health.
