Emico Awards 2019

On reflection of yet another successful year at Emico, we awarded trophies to the individuals and teams who had excelled in their work in 2019. Each of our staff had the opportunity to vote in the awards, and these were handed out at our work Christmas Party.

Emico Culture and Values Award 2019 – Tiffany Gibbs

Tiff symbolises our values and culture (Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence) and has contributed a lot to Emico this year, and helped us grow as a business. Tiff has been a great ambassador for our apprentices and lead us to win an external award for our Apprenticeship scheme.  In addition, she played the fundamental part of setting up the Company’s Emico Voice forum, a new initiative to give our people a say.

Emico HSE Performance Shield 2019 – Paddington Electrical

This year, Paddington Electrical impressed us the most in terms of health and safety. They have been very proactive, with many stand downs taking place during the year and receiving praise from the client on their practices. On average they had around 100 staff operating on site.  No accidents and minimal incidents recorded.

Emico HSE Proactive Award 2019 – Micky Wetherall

Micky is a health and safety ambassador for Emico, promoting a positive culture wherever he has worked. He has operated on several projects and the checking of HSE paperwork and driving a safety culture on site is what this individual is renowned for. Micky is a real ambassador of our Right First Time vision.

Emico Support Service Team Award 2019 – Accounts

We only introduced this award this year as we wanted to recognise some of the work that goes on behind the scenes to support the success of our business. Often the work of Accounts goes unnoticed, but without them the company would not be able to deliver an efficient service. They quietly get on with their work with minimal fuss and are consistent in their delivery.

Emico Learner of the Year 2019 – Sijan Shrestha

We opened this award up this year to recognise all our learners and appreciate individuals who are bettering their knowledge for the benefit of the work they conduct. Feedback is always positive about Sijan wherever he works, and he is very consistent in his work.  Whilst working a full-time job, he has successfully completed his Masters Degree in Renewable Energy whilst still maintaining the high standards his work demands of him.
