Project Description: Emico are delighted to support SCS / HS2 in delivering power distribution to West Ruislip, Atlas Road and Victoria Road Crossover Box. In conjunction with our partner Elnos we designed, manufactured and factory tested containerised sub-stations to provide power for the main 11kV distribution network at each HS2 location, the main 11kV substation supplies multiply substations including two 11kV to 20kV substations that supply Caroline and Sushila, the 2 Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM’s) at West Ruislip. The main substation also provides power for the site amenities, conveyors removing the spoil, 3.3kv tunnel services, tunnel ventilation - Up and Down lines, the compressors, the grout plant, spoil treatment and the cranes. West Ruislip’s 14 number containerised sub-stations have been supplied and commissioned and successfully energised. Atlas Road site requires a further 16 containerised sub-stations, VRCB 16 number containerised sub-stations including 5 for sprayed concrete lining works to complete the power distribution network enabling the sites construction capability.
