Go Yellow for DENS

We were thrilled to support DENS again this year in Go Yellow for DENS Week!

Den’s provides shelter and food for the homeless, but they go above and beyond to provide so much more.

A little history:

• In 1998, 7 churches came together as a temporary night shelter; each night a church would take it in turns to lay down beds and provide a hot meal for anyone in need.
• In 2003, it was established as a permanent night shelter charity called DENS where they also provided professional support.
• In 2015, DENS began opening its doors in the day time to provide showers, clean clothes, a hot meal and housing advice.

All this and more has lead DENS to what it is today; a first point of contact for people who are experiencing poverty, homelessness and social exclusion; ensuring access to temporary and short-term accommodation, nutritious food as well as guidance and training to help get people off the streets, permanently.

In support of this amazing charity we encouraged our staff to wear yellow (pic above) and donate.
